In May 2010, Continental Airlines and United Airlines signed a stock-swap deal in order to combine the two companies into second largest airline in fleet size and destinations after Delta Air Lines. The new airline will keep the name of United Airlines, Continental's logo and the headquarters in Chicago, hometown of United Airlines.
