The Dublin tourist guide
||Dublin is the largest and most populated city of Ireland, and the country's capital since the Middle Ages.
Dublin is divided in two by the Liffey River: on the northern bank you can find the shopping centres and large monuments; on the south bank are located the most antique monuments and the remains of the medieval city, the houses dating back to the city's Colonial and Georgian areas, and the Trinity College, where the renown Book of Kells is conserved in the College Museum, but also the Temple Bar, the district of pubs, restaurants and nightclubs.
Birthplace of Jonathan Swift, Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, William Butler Yeats, James Joyce and Samuel Beckett, Dublin is also the homeland of Guinnes, distilled since 1759 in St. James's Gate Brewery.
