Volcano Emergency

The atmospherical phenomenon of ashes caused by the eruption of a volcano in Iceland obliged the closure for security reasons of the air spaces of several countries in Northern and Central Europe provoking thus the cancellation of many flights of the airlines leaving and arriving from and to those airports.

The precarious and changeable atmospherical situation could bring other airlines to stop their flight schedules.

According to the current Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (Regulation (EC) 261/2004), as a protection for passengers' rights, in case of flight cancellation the airline must offer to passengers:

• the choice between the refund of the price of the flight ticket related to the part of the flight which is not operated or boarding the next possible flight or boarding a flight on a following date which results more convenient for the passenger. If the airline offers a voucher as an alternative to the refund of the price of the ticket, its acceptance is an exclusive decision of the passenger.
   
• the assistance if the passenger chooses to board the next possible alternative flight. During the waiting period the passenger has the right to receive: meals, drinks, an adequate hotel accommodation, transfers from and to the airport, two telephone calls.

Bravofly will take care of informing all its customers about the cancellations made official by every airline and will provide help and information on the procedures to support their rights with the involved airlines.

All passengers who booked a flight that has been cancelled and who could not avail of any alternative flights offered by the airline, can ask for a refund, sending an email to the following email address: cancellations@bravofly.com . Please clearly state your reservation code, provided in the confirmation email.
