Condor Flugdienst, founded in December 1955 under the name Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH, began working on 28th March 1956 and changes its name to Condor Flugdienst in October 1961. In 1966 the first longhaul flights to Thailand, Sri Lanka, Kenya and the Dominican Republic began, and in 1973 Condor becomes the leader amongst tourist airlines. The fleet is composed of 14 Boeing aircrafts: two Boeing 747, two Boeing 707 and ten Boeing 727.
